LAVONI (12) is yet to break through after four career starts. Managed to fill a minor placing at this track two starts back when resuming before finishing fourth over 6f at Doomben last start. Won't get too many better chances to open her account. TEMPER THE STORM (8) is a three-year-old gelding who is having his first run for the Stuart Kendrick barn and gelded since last run. Resumes after finishing fifth at Hawkesbury at his last run ten months ago. Not seen at the trials but looks well placed. Bold showing expected. FOURANDAHALF (1) is facing the starter for the first time. By Charge Forward and is out of the David Vandyke stable. Comes here off a Sunshine Coast Inner Track trial. Respect any positive move in betting. DECISIVELY (10) is yet to break through after five starts but not far off a win. Placed in a then missed the frame but was thereabouts last time over 5½f at Gold Coast Poly. Backmarker who keeps coming. Suited here and can sneak into the finish.
