FRIDGE MONSTER (2) found one marginally better last start over 5f at Echuca after being prominent throughout. Has the gate speed to overcome a awkward draw. Ideally placed and is sure to prove tough to beat. QARAAR (10) is yet to break through after three career starts. Managed to fill a minor placing at Pakenham Synthetic two starts back before finishing fifth over 5½f at Ballarat last start. Likely to be about the money. CHOCOLATE ISLE (1) is a two-start maiden who placed on debut then could only manage seventh last start, beaten 5.5 lengths over 5½f at Ballarat Synthetic. Has a strong finish. Debut run was encouraging so he is worth another chance. VOILE (11) has not raced since she finished ninth over 4½f at Newcastle on April 24. Is lightly raced and looks forward enough after a solid recent trial. Key contender.
