STAND BY ME NED (2) doesn't win out of turn but ran a strong race last time out over 7f58yards at Kyneton, finishing third and beaten 0.9 lengths. Likely improver with strong prospects. HELLISH (1) was too good for a maiden field last start over 6½f at this track, scoring by half a length. No reason he cannot get the job done again. SHEZ STEAMIN' (14) was a long way back last start but hit the line well to finish fourth, beaten 2.5 lengths, over 7f at Benalla. One of the main contenders. MOTHEREENS (6) was out of the money when resuming from a lay-off last start over 6f at Benalla, beaten 5 lengths. Fitter so expect a better run this time.
