VANCOUVER ROCKS (8) met with solid support last time out but could only manage to finish tenth over 7f at Mildura in a disappointing performance. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. ELVIS (2) accounted for a maiden field over 5½f at Ararat last start, finishing 0.8 lengths ahead of the nearest rival. No reason he cannot get the job done again. VILLIANAIRE (6) produced a reasonable effort when second last start after being prominent at the corner over 5f125yards at Kyneton, beaten a long neck. That followed a win at Kyneton the start prior. Likely improver with strong prospects. BRECHEN (1) returns from a layoff of eight months. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a lay-off last prep over 6f at Donald. Looks a strong top-three prospect.
