RED RED WINE (3) was in contention on the corner and ran a better race last start to finish a close second over 6½f at this track after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Nicely placed to feature in the finish. GUARANTEED (9) fought on for third last start over 5f125yards at Kyneton when he gave away a big start on the bend, making it two minor placings in a row. Backmarker who gets home hard. Nicely placed to play a pivotal role. CHELSEA AMANDA (11) showed little early speed last start and failed to come on in the straight when 13th, beaten 11 lengths, over 6f at Benalla. Likely improver with strong prospects. RUTILANT (5) has not won for a long while. Last raced on April 9 when beaten 6 lengths into seventh at Swan Hill over 6½f. Nicely placed to break the run of outs.
