THE MIGHTY SPAR (10) impressed when he scored on the flat at Matamata two runs ago then returned to the jumps and did a fair job when fourth in a hurdle (2m) at Pakenham. The latest run was the first under jumps trainer Mark Walker. Ideally placed to bounce back to the winner's stall. Grade 2 winner PORT GUILLAUME (11) is looking to improve on a last-start 11th on the flat over 1m5f at Flemington on March 30. Looms as a serious contender. BEDFORD (3) is looking to improve on a last-start 12th on the flat over 1m4f at Bendigo on April 13. Sure to make his presence felt. PURE DEAL (9) made a strong return from a layoff last time out (2m) at Pakenham, finishing second when partnered by this rider Arron Lynch. Hard to knock.
