BARGINO (1) settled well back on debut start then warmed up late to finish second over 7f at Ballarat. Has plenty of upside so he should be in the finish again. COTTON TREE (3) did a fair job on debut last time out, finishing 1.75 lengths from the winner in third over 7½f at Geelong. Likely improver who should go well. INFRINGEMENT (8) ran below expectations last time at Ballarat, finishing sixth and beaten 11 lengths starting at 10/11. Meeting a deeper field this time but he is good enough to play a major role. DEPENDENCY (11) is ticking along okay with two runs this time in. Improved last time out when fourth, beaten 1.5 lengths, at Terang over 7f. Will drift back but wind up late. Can run on into the finish.
