MONTECRISTO (4) has not appeared since he raced on the speed on debut back on December 12 and went down narrowly, finishing third over 6f at Hamilton. Will be better for that experience so he looks the one to beat. SHAKE'N'BAKE (5) strode forward early from his wide draw over 7f at Mildura last time, leading for much of the way before fading to finish fifth. Sure to take running down. TI TREE LAD (9) was well in the market when resuming last time out but raced below market expectations when sixth at Caulfield Heath over 6f. Will benefit greatly from that outing and is expected to run well. WICHITALL (10) made late ground and finished second last time over 5f at Terang when resuming from a lay-off, beaten 2.75 lengths. Likely improver with solid prospects.
