WATERSKI (11) was too good for a maiden field last start over 5f at Hawkesbury, scoring by 3.5 lengths. Looms as one of the hardest to beat again. CURL CURL (1) scored at his most recent appearance, getting home by 1.5 lengths over 4½f at Newcastle as favourite. That continued the very strong form this campaign, with two wins from three runs. Can measure up again. IN A STEP (10) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 4.5 lengths when sixth in a 4½f contest at Newcastle two-and-a-half weeks ago after being prominent at the bend. Nicely placed to feature in the finish. I'M NOT SLEW (4) is progressing well this campaign, scoring by 1.2 lengths last time out over 5f at this track. Looks well placed so expect another big run.
