ALVINA'S LUCK (3) returned last time with a solid second at Wyong over 6f after being in contention on the corner. Hard to beat in this suitable race. CLASSIC POETRY (4) is going well with two minor placings from three starts this campaign. Was handy all the way and finished 1.5 lengths from the winner in second last time out over 6f at Newcastle. Best figures measure up. Sure to run well. LADY ICHIKAWA (7) is back after a break of nine months. Went close to a maiden win before the layoff, finishing second at her latest appearance over 6½f at this track. Ran seventh in a recent trial at Wyong. Strong winning chance on best figures. SHARPEN THE KNIVES (10) was in contention on the turn and finished second last start at the first run back from a lay-off over 5½f at Wyong, beaten 2.25 lengths. Will strip fitter this time. In the right race and is worth serious consideration.
