TONKIN (10) has only raced once and finished a nose away in second over 5f at Bendigo four months ago. Looks to have a future so she will prove tough to beat again. SPEIR (2) will find this a little easier than his second on debut three-and-a-half weeks ago, beaten 2 lengths at the end of 5½f at Caulfield Heath. Promising type with improvement to come so he will prove tough to beat. SUN SETTING (9) sat on the pace on debut last start and showed some fight to hang on for second over 5f at this track. Drawn well close to the inside so another bold showing is expected. ALERO (12) stepped out for his debut over 5f at Bendigo back on July 11 and finished fifth, beaten 5.5 lengths. Better for that run and can improve sharply.
