WEEKEND LOVER (3) was beaten just a nose last start and landed his first top-three finish in the process at Bendigo over 1m4f. Heading in the right direction and expected to be in the finish again. LOVENNE (8) settled well back last time out then found the line strongly to finish 9 lengths away in fourth over 1m2 1/2f at Stony Creek. Sure to prove tough to stop. JUSTA MINUTE (4) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1m2f at Seymour, beaten 9 lengths into fourth after being in contention on the corner. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. DEELER (2) ran a better race last start, finishing 1.75 lengths away in fourth over 1m2 1/4f at Cranbourne. Well placed to turn things around.
