Could only manage to finish fourth last time out over 5f at Mornington following a minor placing at Ballarat when fresh from a lay-off the run prior. Terrific chance to break through. GROOVE JET (7) is racing well and is close to a win, the latest effort a solid third at Kilmore over 5½f after being in contention all the way. Meets a stronger field but she is capable of running a bold race. MAGNA MAK (9) is a maiden galloper who hasn't raced since finishing 7 lengths back in seventh over 6½f at Sandown-Hillside five months ago. Filled a minor placing in a recent Moe trial.
