MERRIGOLD (6) finished ninth over 7f at Pakenham at her most recent appearance on May 30. Looks a winning chance. BELLA CINQUE (9) was thereabouts last time out when second at Mornington over 5f, beaten 1.5 lengths. Cherry-ripe now. Has a win and three minor placings at this journey from five starts and is sure to play a big role. POWER CABLE (11) returned from a break last start and drifted well back before closing powerfully to score over 5f at Yarra Valley, getting home by 1.5 lengths. Likely to feature again. LEGENDARY DIVA (10) accounted for a maiden field over 5f at Yarra Valley last start, finishing 0.8 lengths ahead of the nearest rival. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Tougher task this time but expected to be competitive again.
