COLLEANO (3) knuckled down strongly to get within one length of the winner in second last start over 6f at Mornington. Will be tough to stop again. TURN UP THE NIGHT (5) has been in the placings at his last two starts, finishing second last time when he was always up in the leading division over 6f at Kilmore. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. NULLAFIORD (13) improved sharply on her seventh two starts back at Echuca with success over 5½f at Mortlake two-and-a-half weeks ago, getting home by 0.8 lengths after being in the firing line on the corner. Taking on a better field but she is good enough to figure in the finish. MACEDONIAN MARVEL (1) was out of the money when resuming from a lay-off last start over 6f at Mornington, beaten 3.5 lengths. Fitter this time will prove harder to beat.
