FORT WILLIAM (8) turned in a handy position before finishing second last start over 5½f at Traralgon, beaten a long neck when fresh from a lay-off. Likely improver with strong prospects. LOAFER (10) returns from a lay-off of four-and-a-half months and did win when resuming last time in work over 5½f at Echuca. Will be hard to stop. SOLVERE (1) hit the frame two starts ago at Wangaratta but ran below par last time when sixth and beaten 2.75 lengths over 5f190yards at Albury. Nicely placed to turn things around. JUDGE KELLIE (3) resumed three weeks ago over 4f190yards at Swan Hill and was only beaten 1.5 lengths into sixth. Likely improver with top-three prospects.
