NEARA REWARD (5) started at 6/1 last time and ran below expectations, finishing ninth and beaten 4.5 lengths at Gatton over 5½f. Finds a nice race and can make amends. GOLD MERCHANT (1) kept coming but just failed to pick up the winner when when resuming last start over 7f at Gatton. Should tighten right up following that outing. Hard to beat in this suitable race. SARODEC (7) is experiencing a long win drought, extended last start when fourth over 7f at Sunshine Coast. Well placed and can run a better race.
