REY MAGNERIO (9) ran ninth at his latest appearance over 5½f at this track, finishing 2.5 lengths from the winner. Genuine galloper with six wins from 10 starts. Ready to run well. BRUDENELL (3) finished 2 lengths behind the winner in fifth over 5½f in the G1 Oakleigh Plate at this track last start after lifting strongly to score in a. Has the pace to settle in the leading division. Will prove tough to beat. Multiple Group 3 placegetter MAHARBA (11) missed the placings when resuming recently but was not too far from the winner when fourth over 6f in the G3 Zeditave Stakes at this track. Has never been out of the placings at this stage of the prep. Commendable record at this trip with a win and two minor placings and shapes as a key runner. Group 1 placegetter CROSSHAVEN (4) produced another moderate effort last start when 6 lengths from the winner in tenth over 7f at Flemington. Well placed and can figure in the finish this time.
