Wolves striker Raul Jimenez linked with MLS club Houston Dynamo
Wolves are open to selling Raul Jimenez this summer and MLS side Houston Dynamo are interested, according to reports.
Raul Jimenez, 32, has one year remaining on his contract with Wolves and it looks likely he will leave the Premier League club this summer.
According to reports, Jimenez is on the radar of MLS side Houston Dynamo and Liga MX outfit Club America.
The Mexican striker began his career with America after rising through the youth ranks and still represents the national team.
He scored 36 times in 96 appearances for his boyhood club and signed for Wolves permanently in 2018 after an impressive loan spell.
The hitman from Tepeji, Hidalgo has scored 40 goals in his time at Wanderers.
There are suggestions that he will remain in Europe with his high wages a potential sticking point for both clubs.
However, speaking to AS in March 2022, he spoke candidly about the possibility of playing in MLS.
He said, "MLS is always a possibility…I can see myself playing in the United States."
His comments will give the Dynamo some hope in their pursuit.
Houston, also the home of Jimenez's Mexico team-mate Hector Herrera, are currently sixth in the MLS Western Conference.
