Arsenal vs Real Madrid: Predictions, tips and bet builder as Gunners pursue European dream

Arsenal have been handed the most daunting test that's left in the Champions League... a clash against competition specialists Real Madrid. 

The Gunners have seen their Premier League title challenge go off track in recent weeks, with a draw at Everton the latest blow and they are 11 points behind Liverpool with just seven to play. 

This is looking like it's their last shot at silverware this season and the trophy cabinet, which hasn't had a new addition since 2020, is starting to gather a bit of dust, but not quite as much as their North London neighbours Tottenham. 

In order to continue their quest for a first European title, it is vital to take something from the home leg but it will be a tough job with the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Jude Bellingham in the Real Madrid line up.

The Emirates has been somewhat of a fortress under Mikel Arteta, but there have been some blots on the formbook of late, particularly the defeats to Newcastle and West Ham. 

They swept aside PSV with ease, but this will be a much tougher test for Mikel Arteta's men. 

Real Madrid have won 15 Champions League titles and six of them have come in the last 11 years, with current boss Carlo Ancelotti at the helm for three of the six. 

You look at the current crop and they are filled with game changers and match winners, who are able to pull something out of the hat whenever it's needed. 

Arsenal have won just two of their last eight across all competitions, but there's hope in the form of Real's recent games as they lost to Valencia in La Liga on Saturday. 

Despite that defeat, we think Real will use their experience to edge ahead in the tie.
