Ange Postecoglou's bid to keep his job continues on Thursday as Tottenham face Eintracht Frankfurt in Europa League quarter-final. Can our bet builder help line your pockets with cash on April 10.

A miserable domestic campaign in both league and cup, has had Big Ange clinging to the life raft of the Europa League for a number of weeks now.

But actually Tottenham's European campaign hasn't been that bad this season, unbeaten in eight of 10 and winning four of five at home during another choppy season.

They bundled their way past Dutch side AZ Alkmaar 3-2 on aggregate in the last round, after a relatively easy group phase.

But now it feels like they are going to have to put on their big boy pants now as Eintracht Frankfurt are a very different kettle of fish.

The Eagles lie third in the Bundesliga and were tootling along quite nicely until Manchester City swooped in and pinched their best player and top scorer in Omar Marmoush back in January.

Since then Frankfurt's form hasn't been sparkling, they've only won six of their last 14 games across all competitions, although they are unbeaten in 21 of 23 Europa League matches.

This is going to be one of Tottenham toughest and most important games of the season, but they can certainly gain some ground in their own backyard.

Here we've pulled together some of the best tips for the match and put them together in a bet builder which will bring in odds of around 34/1 at the time of writing.

Good luck, and please gamble responsibly.

Tottenham v Eintracht Frankfurt bet builder

    Tottenham win - 3/4

    Over 2.5 goals - 1/2

Both teams to score - 1/2

Ekitike four or more shots - 5/4

    Tuta yellow card - 10/3

    Over 3.5 cards - 6/10

    Tottenham win

Tottenham are on a run of 10 wins and one draw in Europa League fixtures at home and come into this match after beating Southampton...although that's hardly something to shout about.

Frankfurt's Champions League qualification bid stumbled at the weekend, losing 2-0 to Werder Bremen.

Antonio Conte's Spurs beat Oliver Glasner's Frankfurt 3-2 at home the last time they met during the 2022/23 Champions League group stages. It was a goalless stalemate in the away match.

This game will be tight, and the Spurs fans should be able to drag their side over the line.

    Over 2.5 goals

Eintracht Frankfurt are a quality side capable of punishing teams, yet their defence has not fared well when travelling to face teams of Tottenham’s level.

Bayern Munich, Roma, Lyon, and RB Leipzig (twice) have stuck two or more goals past them in their previous 11 away matches and Spurs are capable of doing the same.

Tottenham have scored two or more in 10 of 11 Europa League home ties, a trend which started in 2020 and has continued this campaign.

Importantly, Eintracht have conceded two or more goals in their last 30 losses away from home.

    Both teams to score

Tottenham and Frankfurt have plenty of attacking thrust but both have the potential to leave the gate wide open at the back.

They've both average two goals a game in the Europa League and have scored in all but one match in the competition. Both side have also only kept three clean sheets in their ten Europa matches,

Both teams to score has landed in 12 of Tottenham's 16 games and 19 of Frankfurt's 28 league matches.

Hugo Ekitike to have four or more shots

French striker Hugo Ekitike has taken on a lot of the burden of Marmoush leaving. He's netted 19 goals in 40 games across all competitions this season, but it's shots that catches our eye here.

Four or more shots has landed in three of his last four games. He had four against Bremen, five against Stuttgart and six against Ajax, whilst going close with 3 against Bochum.

The 22-year-old has also averaged 4 shots per 90 this season, so is unlikely to leave his shooting boots in the changing room against Tottenham.

    Tuta - yellow card

Frankfurt's Brazilian Tuta has picked up eight yellow cards in the Bundesliga this season, four in his last seven which includes two in his last two.

He's yet to be booked in Europe this campaign, but Polish ref Szymon Marciniak likes going to his pocket.

He averages three yellows a game in the Champions League and dished out five yellows in the only Europa League game he has officiated this season.

    Over 3.5 cards

Digging deeper in Marciniak's stats this season, reveals a veritable confetti cannon of cards.

He has issued 121 yellows in 30 games this season, that's around four a game. His last five games when it comes to cards is thus - 5,6,7,4 and 8. That includes seven in the international between Germany and Italy.
