UEFA Super Cup: Robbie Savage makes bold Manchester City prediction ahead of Sevilla clash in Greece

Pep Guardiola, Manager of Manchester City

Planet Sport ambassador Robbie Savage takes a close look at Wednesday's UEFA Super Cup clash between Manchester City and Sevilla.

The new season is only a couple of weeks old, yet Manchester City are already preparing for their second final - this time against Sevilla in the UEFA Super Cup.

Pep Guardiola and his men missed the chance to lift the FA Community Shield after falling to Arsenal on penalties at Wembley.
The Spaniard has since watched his side dismantle Burnley in the opening match of the Premier League season.
This Wednesday night, the Sky Blues will set their sights on their first trophy of the campaign when they take on Europa League winners Sevilla in Piraeus.
While Los Nervionenses are struggling on the domestic front, Jose Luis Mendilibar's side simply cannot be underestimated on the European stage.
Last season, Sevilla edged AS Roma in the Europa League final as they won the competition for a record seventh time.
Former Premier League midfielder Robbie Savage acknowledges Sevilla's heroics on the continent, but doubts whether they can lay a finger on the current Champions League title holders.

Savage told Planet Sport: "Sevilla last season in La Liga finished 12th, they were brilliant in Europe winning the Europa League. Started the new season with a 2-1 loss against Valencia.

"City, dominant as usual, 3-0 away win against Burnley. Haaland, what can we say? Two goals. What a start for Man City, even losing Ilkay Gundogan and people like that, Mateo Kovacic has come in and done really well.

"City, I think they will win the Super Cup. I think City will score in both halves. I think it will be a dominant performance against a Sevilla side who - their record in European football is absolutely brilliant. But on this occasion, City are too good.

"I'm going to go with 3-0 for Manchester City."

Sevilla have competed in six UEFA Super Cups, though their sole win came on their first appearance against Barcelona back in 2006.
For Manchester City, this will be their debut outing in the competition as Guardiola looks to collect yet another trophy for the growing Etihad mantelpiece.
