Swansea sign one of fastest ever Poland internationals from Championship rivals Norwich
Swansea have signed Poland international Przemyslaw Placheta until the end of the season, subject to international clearance.
The 25-year-old, who operates either as a left-back or left winger, has substantial experience in the Sky Bet Championship having joined from Norwich while he spent time at Birmingham last season.
Placheta helped the Canaries to promotion to the Premier League in 2021 and has made 19 appearances for David Wagner’s side this term.
Speaking about the move on Swansea's website, the Pole said: “I am looking forward to joining such a huge club.
“When I heard of the interest in me, I thought this would be a good place to become a better player.
“I want to help the team, it’s a very good team. I have seen a couple of games, and when I played against Swansea earlier this season we lost 2-1, so I hope I can add something positive to this team.
“I am a winger, I am quite fast and I like to dribble and play direct football. I like to use my speed to put crosses into the box for players who can score.
“I will try to do my best and to work hard on the pitch for this team, I cannot wait to try and do my best here.
“I am fast and I hope I can add this quality to the team to help Swansea win games.
“I will do my best to score goals and make assists to help the team win.
“I want to play as many games as I can and put in my best performance on the pitch. I am looking forward to the challenge.”
