Reports Rasmus Kristensen set to stay at Leeds United wide of mark as Eintracht Frankfurt interest emerges
Leeds United right-back Rasmus Kristensen has been shortlisted by Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt.
Leeds United right-back Rasmus Kristensen could be subject to interest from Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt.
Rasmus Kristensen spent last season on loan at AS Roma and if the latest reports are to be believed, the Leeds United right-back could be about to seal a permanent move away from Elland Road.
He’s due back at Thorp Arch this week having enjoyed an extended summer on the back of Denmark’s Euro 2024 exit, which took place over two weeks ago.
The full-back made use of a now-expired contractual clause that allowed him to leave on loan last season.
Kristensen joined the Whites on a five-year deal for a fee in the region of £10 million two years ago.
Having written off two years of his cost already, the Whites may demand a fee of at least £6 million to break even on their investment.
Alternatively, another loan with a view to a permanent deal could help United bank a tidy profit should the Dane perform well next season.
Recent reports suggest that Kristensen, as well as Max Wober, could be open to playing Championship football this season.
That comes after Brendan Aaronson, who spent last season on loan at Union Berlin, committed himself to his parent club for the 2024/25 season.
However, it has emerged that Kristensen is on Eintracht Frankfurt’s shortlist of targets this summer.
The Bundesliga club have been busy this summer, securing the services of Hugo Ekitike, Can Uzun, Krisztian Lisztes, Oscar Hojlund and Leeds defender Robin Koch.
If no progress is made on a potential exit, Kristensen will meet with Daniel Farke later this week to discuss his future.
