Callum Hudson-Odoi will be staying at Bayer Leverkusen
Bayer Leverkusen managing director Simon Rolfes has confirmed that winger Callum Hudson-Odoi will stay on loan from Chelsea until the end of the season.
The 22-year-old Hudson-Odoi signed for the German side in the summer on a season-long loan after struggling to make an impact under former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel.
Chelsea have now decided against recalling the winger and he will be staying at the Bundesliga side until the end of the current season.
"We had assumed that Callum would stay, but now we also have the certainty that he will stay with us," Rolfes told Bild.
"That makes us happy, because he is a very important player for us."
Hudson-Odoi has so far made 15 appearances for Leverkusen, scoring one goal and an assist.
During his 160 games at Chelsea, the youngster scored 16 goals and 22 assists. He also won the Champions League, European Super Cup, Club World Cup, Europa League and FA Cup.
