Jose Mourinho among favourites to become next Everton manager as Sean Dyche is sacked
Jose Mourinho's odds to be the next Everton boss have been hastily slashed as Sean Dyche is sacked by the club's new owners.
The Special One is now the new odd-on favourite for the Everton job, as the Friedkin Group pulled the trigger on Sean Dyche.
Mourinho is currently head coach of Fenerbahce in Turkey, but is already taking the authorities to task about how the Super Lig is run
A return to the Premier League for Mourinho with Everton would be his fifth spell in England's top flight having previously managed Chelsea twice, Manchester United and Tottenham.
He's also admitted he would be willing to return to a club that is near the bottom of the Premier League...maybe Everton have been winking at him for a while?
However, this could be seen as a slightly unusual move for TFG given that they've already sacked him once from his role as AS Roma, a club they also own.
Mourinho has previously labeled Friedkin as “someone who knows little about football” and described his dismissal at Roma as “unfair”.
If this is the case then odds of 4/5 seem incredibly skinny.
Others names who are starting to scale this market include second favourite David Moyes (4/10), Lee Carsley (10/1) and Edin Terzic (12/1).
