WIN AND TONIC (4) resumes from a lay-off of four-and-a-half months after closing off last campaign with three consecutive minor placings. Drawn to enjoy a nice trail just off the pace. Expected to be in the finish. WICKLOW LASS (12) has a moderate winning strike-rate but performed well when returning from a break last time at this track, finishing fourth and only 2.25 lengths from the winner at the end of 5f after being in contention on the bend. Needs to be at her best to beat this field but she deserves plenty of thought. THE WALLET (15) finished fourth two runs back at Innisfail then improved last time out to score by 1.3 lengths as public elect after being in contention on the corner over 4½f at Innisfail. No reason he cannot salute again. BORNEO (3) built on a nice third when fresh from a lay-off two starts back at this track with success as favourite over 5f196yards at Home Hill two weeks ago, getting home by 1.4 lengths. Has his share of ability. Hard to beat in this suitable race.
