AKI (1) is a eight-start maiden who could only manage to finish fifth at his latest appearance over 1m2 1/2f at Ballarat Synthetic. Well placed on this occasion and gets his chance to break the ice. JIMBROOK (5) was out of the money when resuming two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 7½f at Geelong, beaten 1.5 lengths into fourth. Meets some better types this time but a big run is on the cards. DHANUSH (3) finished second last time over 1m at Swan Hill, beaten 2 lengths. It doesn't get any easier but on his best form he is right in contention. FOX CHARM (14) was fair on debut last time out when eighth over 7f at Pakenham Synthetic. Should appreciate the extra ground. Can figure in the finish.
