GOLD LOVER (1) finished 1.75 lengths from the winner in fifth last start after being in contention on the turn over 5½f at Scone, an improvement on her when resuming sixth at Coonabarabran the run before. Has her share of talent. Hard to beat in this suitable race. ARDONAUGH (6) has three minor placings from four runs this time in work. Wound up strongly to just miss out at her latest run over 5½f at Port Macquarie. Going well and looks a coming winner. THE LUPERCAL (4) went forward over 5½f at Armidale last time but found a couple better. One of the main contenders. ZAHDI (5) is back at the races for the first time since July 19. Worth noting she filled a minor placing when returning from a lay-off last prep over 6f at Kembla Grange. Hasn't scored when fresh from a break but generally races well with two minor placings. Sure to make her presence felt.
