HVARDANCE (12) finished out of the money but was not too far away when resuming last start over 6f at this track. Backmarker who keeps coming. Will be tough to hold out. POWER BEAU (7) resumes from a lay-off of nine months. Could only manage to finish eighth at the latest run over 6½f at Warrnambool. Nicely placed and expected to go well. APACHE JACK (15) finished out of the money when fresh from a lay-off two starts back then was beaten 3.5 lengths when seventh over 6½f at Scone a week-and-a-half ago. Meets some better types this time but he has the talent to test this line-up. CLAN D'ORO (9) returns after four-and-a-half months in the paddock. Closed the last campaign with a fifth over 5f at Muswellbrook. Placed in a recent trial. Rates highly on best form and should be in the mix.
