MIKKI MAGIC (7) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 4 lengths when fourth in a 7f58yards contest at Kyneton six weeks ago after being in the firing line on the corner. Finds a nice race and can figure in the finish. CHIQ MAGNET (2) proved too strong two runs ago at Naracoorte. Couldn't follow that up last time out when sixth over 7¾f at Bordertown, beaten 8 lengths. Goes up a rung or two but he is worth serious consideration. PONTMEIRION (1) missed the placings when resuming two runs back then didn't feature last start when 5.5 lengths away in sixth over 5½f at Ararat. Best figures measure up nicely. Sure to run well. TIMBOLTON (5) was beaten 5.5 lengths into fifth in a 6f contest at Yarra Valley at his latest appearance. No surprise to see him in the mix.
