AICHI ICON (5) made progress last time out, finishing 2.25 lengths from the winner in second at the end of 7f at Bendigo. Meets a stronger field but he is worth serious consideration. EXTREME VIRTUE (11) faced the starter for the first time and finished eighth last start at Bendigo over 6½f, beaten 3 lengths. Should progress this time and is expected to feature. WINGED (10) found the line strongly on debut last start to finish fifth, beaten 2 lengths over 6½f at Ararat. Can play a major role. UPTOWN BOY (3) is a five-start maiden who resumed from a lay-off last start and was beaten 4.5 lengths when sixth over 7f at Bendigo. Should settle just off the speed despite the draw. Must be respected.
