NULLAFIORD (7) resumed three weeks ago over 6f at Donald and was only beaten 0.6 lengths into fifth. Fitter and sure to run well. MISS TALLCHIEF (9) finished 6 lengths away in fifth last time out over 5f at Warrnambool a week-and-a-half ago. Steps up in journey. Will find this a little easier than last time. Leading contender. PALENTINE'S DAY (4) is coming along nicely this prep. Finished ninth when fresh from a lay-off two starts back at Geelong then improved and scored over 6f at Donald three weeks ago, getting home by a nose after being in contention on the turn. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot repeat the dose. KING'S CHAMBER (2) finished third last time over 6f at Donald when resuming from a lay-off, beaten a neck. Likely improver with winning claims.
