SOLAR MIST (5) settled well back then made a little ground and finished 3.5 lengths away in fourth last time out over 6f at Morphettville three weeks ago as 11/4 favourite. Steps up in distance. Will drift back but wind up late. One of the leading chances. ALTRUIST (1) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 6½f at Cranbourne, beaten 2.5 lengths into fifth. Taking on a better field but he is good enough to take this out. LAPILLI (8) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 2.75 lengths when seventh over 6¼f at this track two weeks ago. Nicely placed to take this out. PAPPIANA (11) faced the starter for the first time and finished fifth last start at this track over 6¼f, beaten 2.5 lengths. Will be better for that run and is expected to go well.
