HELIX (9) is close to breaking through after finishing third last start over 7f at Flemington when he was handy all the way. Perfectly placed and is sure to play a major role. LE FERRARI (7) is coming off a determined win last start over 6½f at Sandown-Hillside three-and-a-half weeks ago. Gets some weight relief this time so he is a leading contender again. THIRSTY GUEST (6) was last at the races when he finished third over 1m at Morphettville on November 25. Makes plenty of appeal. EXALTED FIRE (5) is back from a break of five-and-a-half months. Scored back-to-back wins before running below his best at the last run of the prep, finishing seventh over 1m at Morphettville. Did launch his last prep with a minor placing over 7f at Murray Bridge. Anticipating a strong return to racing.
