HAYAI MESU (6) drifted well back last start before winding up strongly to finish second, beaten 0.9 lengths, over 6¼f at this track. Will be a major player again. KRISTOBEL (11) has been in the placings at her last two starts, finishing second last time when she was prominent throughout over 7f at Balaklava. It doesn't get any easier but on her best form she is capable of a big performance. PULAMBI (7) took advantage of the good draw and raced on the pace last start then boxed on well to finish third, beaten 1.75 lengths, over 6f at Strathalbyn. Meeting a deeper field this time but she is good enough to play a major role. PRANCING COUNTESS (12) finished third last start over 7f at Balaklava, beaten 4 lengths. Should be cherry-ripe. In the right race and is sure to be prominent.
