VERIFIER (8) has been out of the placings in two runs since a break, the latest when fourth, beaten 4 lengths, over 1m at Caulfield after he travelled towards the rear of the field. Has further improvement to come and looks set to find best form. MOVEFORLEX (3) wasn't far away when resuming last start, finishing fourth over 1m1f at Caulfield. The extra journey should play into his hands. Poses a genuine threat. MIDNIGHT GLOW (7) doesn't win out of turn, scoring just once from 18 starts. Again tasted defeat last start when fifth over 1m2 1/2f at Sandown-Lakeside, beaten 1.5 lengths. Hard to beat in this suitable race. DODGY ONE (2) was narrowly beaten into second when second up last start at Sandown-Lakeside over 1m. Should be nearing his peak at this stage of the campaign.
