SEERESS (4) wasn't far away last time out, finishing fourth over 1m1f at this track after she got a long way back in the run. The extra journey should play into her hands. Worth following up. I SAY BOOM (2) was in the money two starts back at this track but couldn't back it up last time when 11th, beaten 12 lengths, at Townsville over 1m2f. Finds a more suitable contest and can turn things around. GOLD WITNESS (7) has not won for a long while. Last raced on July 26 when beaten 1.75 lengths into fourth at this track over 1m1f. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot return to winning ways. BRAND NEW (6) finished second at Rockhampton two runs back but didn't measure up last time over 1m1f at this track, finishing 7 lengths back in 13th. Nicely placed to make amends.
