MAHAGONI (12) rallied in the concluding stages to score by 1. Lay-off. Finds the right race to make it two on the trot. TIDAL CREEK (9) pushed forward from a wide draw last time out and was prominent for a long way before fading to finish fifth over 1m2f at Doomben. Rates highly and expected to go well. GALIFIANAKIS (7) showed good early dash and led for much of the way before weakening out of it when 7 lengths away in eighth over 1m1/4f at Doomben. Record at this journey is impressive with two wins and two placings from five runs and is expected to be competitive. A DEEL OF HUMOUR (10) returned from a lay-off last start with a strong win by 0.8 lengths over 1m at Eagle Farm. Will be better for that latest run and appeals as a solid top-three hope.
