CATALINA BLACK CAT (2) drifted well back last start then wound up strongly to finish fourth, beaten 5 lengths, over 5½f at Tatura. Outdashed but got home well and appears suited by the longer journey. Look for another barnstorming finish. AT THE MINT (9) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 0.6 lengths when fifth in a 6½f contest at Corowa two-and-a-half weeks ago. Has the ability to take this out. COPPERFIELD (1) came from well back on the turn to score last time out over 6½f at Wodonga. Has a solid record at this journey with two wins from four starts. Expected to be there at the business end. RED HAWK (4) proved too strong two runs ago but couldn't follow that up last time out when 14th over 6f at Warrnambool, beaten 8 lengths. Worth another chance.
