PALTINIAN (1) is close to breaking through after two consecutive placings, the latest coming when second over 1m at Wodonga. Ideally placed and is sure to prove tough to beat. JAPANESE WHISPER (8) failed to figure again last time over 1m3f at Pakenham Synthetic, beaten 16 lengths into 12th. Comes down a level this time. Better placed this time and is a genuine threat. I SEE STARS (7) missed the placings two runs back then was always well out of her ground last start when 8 lengths away in sixth over 1m at Wodonga. Has the class to take care of this field. TAVOLTA (3) turned in another moderate effort last start when 10 lengths from the winner in 14th over 1m2f at Warrnambool. Better than recent efforts suggest.
