DRIFT NET (12) booted up from the inside draw to lead last start and was there until straightening when beaten 2 lengths into fifth over 6f at Seymour. Expected to measure up again. SAKOWIN (13) resumed from a lay-off last start with a sound third over 5½f at Ballarat after being in the firing line on the corner. Likely improver with winning claims. MINTMAN (9) is a four-start maiden who is knocking on the door, the latest effort a solid fourth at Mornington over 6f after he came from well back on the corner. Has his share of ability. Hard to beat in this suitable race.
