LIONEL (8) impressed when resuming then took on a much better race last time when 15th over 1m6f in the LR Andrew Ramsden Stakes at this track. In a nice race and deserves another chance. Group 2 placegetter FERAGO (6) drifted well back last start before winding up strongly to finish second, beaten 1.75 lengths, over 2m in the LR Sandown Cup at Sandown-Lakeside. Will find this much easier. Sure to run well. Multiple Group 3 placegetter TARAMANSOUR (9) settled well back last start and never threatened when 6 lengths from the winner in 13th over 1m2f at Caulfield. Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he is good enough to play a major role. MIRZANN (11) was among the placegetters at first two runs from a lay-off then out of the money last time when eighth over 1m2f at Caulfield. Wasn't too far away latest and although first try at the trip looks suited. Has the gate speed to take up a forward position. Not to be discounted.
