THE CARPENTER (11) is going well this time in work, including a last start win over 6f at Mt Isa to bring up four wins from four runs in the campaign. Drawn to enjoy a nice trail just off the pace. Best figures should see him run well. PARKO (9) finished seventh two runs back at Charleville then improved last time out to score by 2.5 lengths after being prominent at the turn over 7f at Injune. Finds a tougher race but another win beckons. ART BY CONCORDE (2) is a distance specialist who improved sharply on his fourth two starts back at Emerald with a win as favourite over 6f at Barcaldine three weeks ago, getting home by 2.2.5 lengths. Goes up a rung or two but he is good enough to figure in the finish. MASTERPLAN (15) ran below expectations last start, finishing seventh and beaten 3.5 lengths at Sunshine Coast over 6f. Finds a nice race and can atone.
