DEPTH OF CHARACTER (1) made considerable ground in the run home to finish third last start over 6½f in the LR Oxlade Stakes at this track. Should be getting home hard and is sure to be tough to beat. STEEL STRIKE (2) recorded a gutsy maiden victory last time out over 6¼f at Canterbury, scoring by a neck. Sparingly raced and has more to offer. Looks well placed and he cannot be underestimated. HEINOUS (5) was allowed to drift back from an outside draw last time but found the line strongly to finish fifth, beaten 2.75 lengths, over 6½f in the LR Oxlade Stakes at this track. Has ability and a bold showing is expected. MISS TRUSTFUL (6) was sent out at long odds last time but ran above expectations to finish third, beaten only 1.2 lengths, over 7½f in the LR The Phoenix (Doomben Slipper) at this track. Should be poised just off the lead. Not to be discounted.
