TARPS (6) pushed forward from a wide draw last start and kept going to win by 0.8 lengths over 6f at Doomben. Bailey Wheeler who has scored on him three times retains the mount. Leading contender. NAVAL TRADER (5) finished ninth when resuming two runs back then did a good job last start but found a couple better over 7f at this track, beaten only a neck. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. IVERSON (7) drifted back from his wide draw last start then hit the line hard to score by 0.6 lengths at Doomben over 6¾f. Will be tough to stop again. RUSSIAN WARRIOR (8) was in the money two starts back at Sunshine Coast but was unable to repeat the effort last time when tenth, beaten 13 lengths, at Doomben over 1m1/4f. Well placed and should be in the mix.
