HYDE (3) closed off strongly last start to get up for third, beaten 1.3 lengths, over 6¾f at Doomben when fresh from a break. Backmarker who keeps coming. Best form puts him right in this. BRENTWOOD (5) is close to a win placing at last couple, the latest finishing a 0.8 lengths second at Doomben and drops in the weights for this. Has the pace to be in a prominent position from the outset. Will give a great sight. TRIBECA STAR (4) has progressed nicely in his last couple of runs. Finished second at this track two starts back then scored by half a length as favourite last time out over 7f at Grafton. Will enjoy a drop in class so he is a big chance to make it two on the trot. Group 3 placegetter RAINBOW CONNECTION (1) lifted strongly to salute by 1.3 lengths three runs back at Ipswich before filling a minor placing at his last two starts. Has a decent record at this trip with four minor placings from five tries and cannot be underestimated.
