HYDE (1) wasn't far away when resuming last start, finishing third over 6¾f at Doomben. Well placed over the longer journey. Winning chance. THESECONDATPORTSEA (16) turned in a fine effort to score by a nose at this track and distance last time out to make it two-for-two this prep. Nicely placed to play a pivotal role. RUSSIAN WARRIOR (15) disappointed last time when tenth over 1m1/4f at Sunshine Coast after a close second at Sunshine Coast the run prior. Coming back in trip suits so she shapes as one to consider. KOKONOTSU (10) was thereabouts when resuming last start over 6¾f at Doomben, finishing seventh and beaten 1.5 lengths. Loves racing here and has managed two wins from four visits. Should enjoy a good run just off the speed. Not to be discounted.
