THESECONDATPORTSEA (8) returns from a layoff of six-and-a-half months. Worth noting she filled a minor placing when returning from a lay-off last time in work over 7f at Sandown-Lakeside. Has ability and should be right in the finish. DULY ELECTED (6) turned in a nice run when resuming at Eagle Farm then wasn't too far away last time over 5½f at this track, finishing seventh and beaten 2.5 lengths. This looks a sterner test than last time but on her best form she is one of the chief contenders. UP THE COUNTRY (17) ran below expectations last start, finishing sixth and beaten 3.5 lengths at Eagle Farm over 6f. Worth another chance.
