NIGHT INVADER (7) gave away a start then stormed home to win over 1m at Launceston last time out. Blinkers come off now. Sure to go well. ES AND ES (2) didn't make an impact at his last run before going for a lay-off on July 21 finishing fifth and beaten 4 lengths over 1m2 1/2f at Hobart. Has ability and should be right in the finish. WICKHAM LIGHT (1) returns from a layoff of six-and-a-half months. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a lay-off last prep over 5½f at Launceston. Can make his presence felt. SYRUP (8) has not won for a long while. Last raced on December 6 when beaten 3.5 lengths into fifth at this track over 6¾f after racing in the leading division. Can play a prominent role.
